  • Book Review Digest Plus is an index of reviews of current fiction and non-fiction and covers adult, young adult and children's books.
    This database provides book summaries, bibliographic data, review excerpts and many full text reviews from over 8,000 periodicals covered by other Wilson databases. Every book appears with all of its reviews together. A single book can have as little as one review citation and as much as a descriptive summary and many reviews, depending on the coverage the book received in the reviewing literature.

  • A list of descriptive summaries of classic and contemporary novels recommended for a general adult audience.
    The selective list presented features classic and contemporary works of fiction recommended for a general adult audience, written in or translated into English. The best authors and their most widely read works in literary and popular fiction, old and new, are listed, including mysteries, science fiction, fantasy, Westerns and romance. The database, which is accessible by author, title, subject and genre, provides entries for individual novels and analytic entries for novellas and novels contained in composite works. There are more than 8,000 titles listed, with entries providing complete bibliographic data, price, descriptive annotations and evaluative quotations from a review when available. Out-of-print titles are included.

It also provides full-text criticism from the Contemporary Literary Criticism database, and selected criticism from titles in the Literary Criticism Series. Together these include more than 500,000 full-text journal articles, 65,000 critical essays, 136,000 author biographies, 3000 author portraits, and 7000 work overviews, contextual essays and explications. Also includes the Merriam-Webster Encyclopedia of Literature which provides 10,000 definitions of literary terms. There are also links to related authoritative websites.

    Theatre in Video provides the opportunity to watch online in streaming video the world's leading plays featuring notable actors, playwrights and directors as well as film documentaries. Theatre in Video shows original productions which cover a wide range of 20th century theatrical history starting from the 1930's. It also includes live television broadcasts from the 50's , revivals of classic works and experimental performances from the 60's and 70's as well as contemporary performances.
