Alberta Species at Risk Program (Alberta Sustainable Resource Development): Information on status, legal designation, recovery, and prevention programs for threatened and endangered species. Includes species descriptions and links to detailed Alberta Wildlife Status Reports.

Alberta’s Endangered Species: Discussion of endangered species in Alberta, with links to relevant articles, legislation, and organizations.

Alberta’s Endangered Species Conservation Committee: Includes information on species assessed by the Committee, which advises the Minister of Sustainable Resource Development on matters relating to species at risk in Alberta.

Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada (COSEWIC): The committee responsible for determining the national status of species which may be at risk provides species lists, status reports, and a searchable database.

Endangered Species (Canadian Nature Federation): Includes annual report card evaluating progress made in achieving the objectives of the National Accord for the Protection of Species at Risk.

Endangered Species Recovery Fund (Environment Canada and World Wildlife Fund): Descriptions of projects sponsored by the ESRF throughout Canada.

Species at Risk (Canadian Wildlife Service): Information on the government of Canada’s policies, programs and legislation related to the protection of species at risk.

Endangered Species Program (U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service): Scientific and regulatory profiles for endangered species in the United States, with current news, links and photos.

Keep the Wild Alive Species Resources (National Wildlife Federation): Information on habitat, biology and status of endangered species, including photos and special features on topics such as migration routes and habitat conservation plans.

CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora): Includes database of CITES-listed flora and fauna with distribution maps and links to photographs, news and information on CITES projects.

Environmental Education Link, Endangered Species (North American Association for Environmental Education): Information and activities on endangered and extinct species; links to international organizations and other educational sites.

Species Survival Commission of the IUCN (World Conservation Union): The SSC provides advice to the IUCN and members on species conservation, and produces the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species; their site links to the Red List, including a searchable database, with additional information on programs such as plant conservation, sustainable use, and wildlife trade.
