- Canada School Finder:
produced by EDge interactive publishing. This site provides links to and
applications for Canadian Universities. Includes links to

- Canadian Virtual University:
a partnership of universities across Canada committed to delivering
university-level programs that can be completed anywhere in the country or
beyond.
- Telecampus: a
directory of more than 7,000 courses from around the world in
an online course database sponsored by TeleEducation New
Brunswick
Scholarship and Bursary Information
*Note: Look for scholarship and bursary information
on the home page of the institution you wish to
attend. It is often found linked to buttons called
"student awards" or "student
finance".
The three
volume Guide to Canadian Scholarships
(call number: Career R 378.30971 GUI 2001) can be
found at the W.R. Castell Central Library as well as
the Fish Creek, Nosehill and Village Square branches. It includes
entrance awards, in-course awards, and graduate awards.
- Debt Free Grad:
provided by Murray Baker, author of the book of the same title, (Career
378.30971 BAK) this site provides an online calculator for budgeting, tips
on finding and using student financial assistance and links to scholarship
sites.
- NEADS: National Educational Association of Disabled
Students: produced by NEADS, a consumer organization with a mandate to
encourage the self-empowerment of post-secondary students with disabilities,
this site provides sources of financial assistance. NEADS advocates for
increased accessibility at all levels so that disabled students may gain
equal access to college or university.
- NSERC: Natural Sciences
and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) scholarships and awards.
- Rhodes Scholarships:

- Scholarships Canada: EDge Interactive Publishing of Toronto provides a financial aid resource for students
- StudentAwards.com: Canada's free
financial aid resource for scholarships, bursaries,
fellowships, grants and other financial awards. It is a free
service but you must complete an on-line registration
questionnaire on the first visit. Then the
student can be matched with appropriate awards.
Information arrives in a personalized, password
-protected mailbox. Funded by corporate
sponsors who advertise their products and services of
interest to post-secondary students. Over 50,000
Canadian graduate and undergraduate scholarships
listed.
*Note: Calgary Public Library has a large collection of college
and university calendars for institutions in Canada.
Foundations, public service clubs and specialized societies may also provide
funding for students. Library staff can direct you to an appropriate
source.
