Manuscript submission guidelines
The Writer in Residence program is designed to provide individual feedback on manuscript submissions. Please review the following guidelines before submitting your manuscript. Manuscripts are only accepted during an active Writer in Residence term, usually in the fall.
Submissions should be typed, single-sided and double-spaced in 12 point type or larger.
The following list indicates the maximum length of submission for each type of work.

For genres not covered by the above, the writer in residence will use her own judgment.
Please include your full name, telephone number(s), your email address and library card number.
Consultation appointments will be made at a time that is convenient for both the writer and the Writer in Residence. Memorial Park Library staff will phone to set up appointments.
You will need to have a current Calgary Public Library card to participate in this program. Cards can be obtained or renewed at any branch of Calgary Public Library.
We accept manuscripts in paper form only. Manuscripts should be dropped off in person or mailed to:
