One class that I am itching to be put back into the school's complimentary course curriculum has got to be Outdoor Ed. Ironically, I am not the type of person you would call outdoorsy.
(More like the type that spends all her summer reading books & sifting through the internet, oops) But I have heard about this class from some graduates and they said the class was
During the winter, they would go snowshoeing across the large field, build impromptu igloos, and even go skiing. In the warmer months, they would go canoeing. I've also overheard that they would learn how to
use survival tools, to things like a compass or use a pot to boil water over a fire.
I'm not sure why the school ever took out such a fun class, maybe it was because not a lot of people were taking it, or financial reasons. Nonetheless, I really hope that one day I'll get to take such an awesome
class. Who knows, the class might teach me some essential skills for the impending dystopian future. I'm kidding of course....
or am I? *cue suspenseful horror film music*
